Women’s basketball star, Azzi Fudd recently signed with GEICO.
So during March Madness, we turned the Gecko’s social profile into an Azzi Fudd fan account.
It started with a Social Rebrand the week before March Madness.
And Azzi fans started to notice.
During Selection Sunday, the Gecko congratulated Azzi & co. on earning the one-seed.
For Rounds 1 & 2 the Gecko cheered on Azzi from his fan-cave with selfie videos and memes.
For the Sweet 16, the Gecko hit the road and headed to Fort Worth to support Azzi in-person.
He even made a detour in Houston to watch a men’s game.
And on his story, the Gecko posted his progress driving to Texas.
For the Elite Eight the Gecko celebrated how Elite Azzi is.
Finally, Azzi (and the Gecko) made it to the Final Four.
We welcomed Azzi to AZ with an OOH in downtown Phoenix.
The Gecko asked fans to share their support for Azzi before the Final Four. He even DMed the Fudd family.
Sadly, Azzi & co lost in the Final Four. But her journey was hardly over.
With the WNBA Draft on the horizon, the Gecko started speculating where she would be drafted.
When Azzi was drafted first overall by the Dallas Wings, the Gecko was right there with her.
